    Open time for public expression, up to three minutes per speaker, on items not on the Bolinas Lagoon Advisory Council Agenda.  (While members of the public are welcome to address the Council, under the Brown Act advisory council members may not discuss, deliberate, or take action on items not on the agenda, and generally may only listen.)

  4. 2026 State of the Lagoon Conference 
    (Action Item)
    Subject
    The Bolinas Lagoon Advisory Council (BLAC) has a tradition of hosting a State of Bolinas Lagoon Conference every other year in spring or early summer to showcase projects at the Lagoon and topics that impact its health. At the November 7, 2026 Regular Fall Meeting of the BLAC, a subcommittee was convened to lead planning and implementation for a long overdue Conference. The subcommittee has determined the date and location of the upcoming Conference and has worked to develop a theme of Climate Resiliency and a draft program for the evening.
    Recommendation
    Staff recommends that the Bolinas Lagoon Advisory Council approves the Draft Agenda and program for the 2026 State of the Lagoon Conference taking place at the Stinson Beach Community Center on May 7, 2026 from 6 pm to 8 pm.

    Agency members may report on agency activities that have taken place since the previous BLAC meeting that do not appear on the agenda. Council cannot discuss or take action on these items.

    Recommendation
    Approve date for the next Bolinas Lagoon Advisory Council meeting.
    Discussion
    Staff recommends that the Bolinas Lagoon Advisory Council schedule its next meeting for Friday July 17, 2026 at 10 a.m. for the next regular meeting. The proposed location, which would be our annual Summer Field Trip, is TBD pending suggestions from the Council.
