FARE Grants

Supporting sustainable food and agriculture systems

Food, Agriculture, and Resilient Ecosystems (FARE) grants support sustainable food systems, climate-beneficial management, and improving natural resource values on Marin's working lands. Projects include initiatives for community gardens, local food supply sustainability, increasing access to farmland for underserved communities, carbon capture farming practices, environmental restoration on working lands, improving ecosystem services for water quality and soil health, wildlife corridors and habitat improvements, and more. These grants are funded by Measure A, the local quarter-cent sales tax that supports parks and open space.

To connect with other school and community gardeners across the county and get access to garden resources, check out the new Marin County Garden Resource Hub website and community forum, designed especially for Marin school and community gardeners.
